Climate

Climate change is an intersectoral issue and it is increasingly included in all activities of the Forum.

In 2020, the Climate Task Force was created to inspire climate activities within the Forum. We organise and co-run climate projects with our partners, such as the Climate Caravans art project. Most of our activities now have a climate component (a stream or a workshop).

We also strive to address the climate crisis practically during our events. In 2019, the Civil Society Forum adopted its EcoCodex – a set of ethical and ecological guidelines to follow when organising activities and structuring office work. Since 2023 the EcoCodex includes specific targets and benchmarks. For example, as part of our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, we've implemented restrictions such as avoiding red meat consumption and prohibiting flights for events within a distance shorter than 600 km.
