Based on the needs of the Forum network, advocacy activities (meetings, visits, etc.) and publications (op-eds, policy papers, etc.) on further issues of concern are being prepared. For instance, these might include climate and environmental topics, migration issues or civic education.

Climate change is an intersectoral issue and it is increasingly included in all activities of the Forum. In 2020, the Climate Task Force was created to inspire climate activities within the Forum.

The solidarity work of the Civil Society Forum e.V. focuses on different types of support for human rights defenders (HRDs) from Wider Europe. Partly this work is coordinated by the Solidarity Task Force, a group of human rights experts, that advises the CSF team.
