We are a network of 155 civil society organisations from 21 countries, working in the fields of human rights, environmental protection, historical memory, the prevention of torture, gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights, among many others.
Based in Berlin, the Secretariat ensures that CSF’s mission translates into action. Our team manages programmes, advocacy, solidarity initiatives, communications and finance.
The Civil Society Forum is a network of non-governmental organisations working across Wider Europe. At the core of our work are three key pillars: our members, working together to protect democracy and human rights across Wider Europe; our Board, providing strategic direction; and our Secretariat in Berlin, driving day-to-day operations.

At the Civil Society Forum, we create opportunities for people to connect, exchange and take action. Our programmes are focused on a wide variety of topics including historical memory, fostering collaboration among young changemakers and creating dynamic spaces for dialogue and cross-sector partnerships.
Europe Lab, started by CSF in 2015, is an annual event and a platform for professional networking and cooperation for students, young professionals and young change-makers in their 20s and 30s from Wider Europe.
